All About Mrs. House

My name is Katie House and I will be your child’s teacher this year. My goal this year is to provide a positive learning environment that promotes a love of reading.

I have lived in Desoto County all my life and graduated from Olive Branch High School. In 2012, I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education. In May of 2012, I was married to my husband Drew and in 2015, our little baby girl Olivia was born. In May of 2019, our boy Nolan House was born!

Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love of learning and I hope that my students would also learn to love learning as much as I do. By making my classroom a safe, fun, and disciplined place for my students, I hope that they will enjoy coming to my classroom and learning something new every day. I feel that all children are different and require specific attention and affection for them to flourish. I will strive to be that for each of my students; an educator who loves each child that walks in her door and gives each of them not only an education but a passion to learn.
