Welcome to THIRD GRADE!

 

Hi, I'm Emily Hunt and I am so excited to be your child's math and science teacher this year! I graduated from the University of Memphis in 2006 (Go Tigers!) with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education. I majored in Human Development and Learning and I am licensed to teach Pre-K through fourth grade. This is my 17th year teaching, however my 2nd year in third grade at LES. I love being a part of the LES family and the third grade team. 

I currently live in Memphis, Tennessee, where I was born and raised. I am married with two girls, one is 5 and one is 8, both are Lewisburg Patriots. We also have 1 dog, a rat terrier named Bella. Some of my favorite things are: coffee, dogs, the beach, traveling, the season fall, shopping, and reading. 


Class Schedule

7:05-7:45: Homeroom

10:05-10:25: Recess

10:25: Switch Classes

11:05-11:35: Lunch

1:25-2:10: Activity

2:40: Dismissal

RULES:

  1. Follow directions the first time.

DAILY FOLDERS:

Daily folders will go home every day. Inside this folder will be an envelope for money, notes and school information, as well as, worksheets and activity pages done in class each day. Please save the work that comes home in the folder daily, this will help when it comes time to study for tests. There will also be a behavior log where behavior will be recorded for each day. Please sign or initial in the box for the correct day.

HOMEWORK:

This will be done on a weekly basis rather than daily. This is done for you and your child's convenience. Many children are involved in other activities and certain nights are busier than others so this is a way homework can be completed when time allows. It may be turned in once completed. Please check homework to make sure it has been completed correctly.

TEST FOLDERS:

This folder will go home every Wednesday. Inside this folder will be all of the tests your child completed the previous week. There will be a place for a parent signature and this needs to signed every week. Please do not remove the tests from the folder each week. Test folders and test papers should be returned by Friday.
