Mrs. Missy Watson

Education

I graduated from Olive Branch High School in 1994.  In 1998, I graduated from Ole Miss with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Communicative Disorders.  In 2000, I completed the Alternate Route to Teaching through the University of Mississippi.  In 2005, I returned to Ole Miss and completed my gifted certification.

Experience

This year (2022) marks my 18th year as a teacher and my first year at Lewisburg Elementary. I began teaching at Olive Branch High School in 2000.  I took some time off to start my family, and I returned to teaching in 2005 at HLMS as a Spotlight teacher. In 2006, I joined the staff of the new Center Hill High School as the Gifted English and AP English teacher.  I also taught Journalism and Psychology. For the last 13 years, I have been teaching Spotlight at Center Hill Elementary.

Bio

My husband, Chris, is an Assistant Principal at DeSoto Central Middle School. We have 4 children. Cade is 20 and works as a Lineman at MLGW. Addie Bea is 19 and is in college at Baptist Health Sciences University. Henry is 14 and in 9th Grade. Our 4th child, Owen, is 9 and in 3rd Grade. We also have an enormous kitty cat named Luke. We are members of the Olive Branch Church of Christ.
