Also, they should be reveiwing Concentration and understanding the following key terms: concentration, more concentration is caused from having more solute and less solvent; less concentration (Diulte) is caused by having less solute and more solvent. Review Denisty as being mass per volume (D=M/V). Sink and Float tells us if a substance is more dense or less dense than an object. We will begin Chemcial Changes in matter. Students should be reviewing handouts and investigation notes.

Science : Focus Question: What is the difference between dissolving and melting? Students will use hot water to heat four common solid materials and observe that one melts, two soften, and one is unchanged. With this review of phase change and melting, students are asked to develop models of dissolving and melting and explain how they are different. *Please be sure your child is studying the foldables and notes in their science journal.
